Yogurt Blueberry Banana Granola Parfait

Yogurt Blueberry Banana Granola Parfait

We are almost getting near to the end of the Month Long A to Z Marathon. For the alphabet Y, I decided to make a simple breakfast Parfait with fruits that I like. We always have a bag of frozen blueberries in the refrigerator that I use for making Blueberry muffins or for my smoothies. This time I used it to make this delicious Yogurt Blueberry Banana Granola Parfait.

My older son is really fond of granola and thanks to our local Sprouts store, we always have access to really good variety of granola. Every now and then when he joins me for shopping, he gets to pick his choice of granola flavor. This time we had some French Vanilla almond granola that I used in my parfait.

Lately, me and my husband have been trying out some lighter breakfasts. We have smoothies couple of days and week and I guess after I made this Yogurt Blueberry Banana Granola Parfait, we are covered for couple of more days. The choices of fruits or berries that we can use in the Parfait is totally based on individual preference. We can use fresh fruits or defrosted frozen fruits to layer the parfaits. I am totally looking forward to trying out different combinations.

I used plain Greek Yogurt today to make the Yogurt Blueberry Banana Granola Parfait. You can use any flavored Greek Yogurt of your choice. If you don;t have Greek yogurt on hand, feel free to strain out some extra liquid from the regular yogurt and using a muslin cloth and use that. You could use honey, agave or any other sweetener of your choice.

  1. I am also a great fan of parfait. The combinations possible are mind blowing, right? Blueberries and bananas – classic combination.

  2. The parfait looks so tempting…and with such hot weather here this would be such a treat. Love the combo you have picked, and I am drooling over the almond vanilla granola..what a amazing flavor to add. The whole parfait must have tasted so heavenly.

  3. This is my kind of breakfast Sandhya. I have Greek yogurt with fruit and granola almost every day and you parfait sounds absolutely amazing and looks inviting.
You have a Sprouts store in the neighborhood — how lucky!! I’ve heard a lot about that grocery store – would love to shop there.

  4. I also love using yogurt to make fruit parfait and love how healthy and light they are. Even we are also having smoothies for breakfast too. Your parfait looks super inviting.

  6. Sandhya the breakfast parfait looks so tempting. Love the clicks. I usually have smoothies for breakfast. Whenever I have Indian snacks as breakfast I feel so lethargic the whole day. My favorite breakfast whenever I’m in London or Montreal is granola parfait with yogurt and free berries.
