- 8 Bread slices
- 3 Potato medium
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam masala
- ½ teaspoon Chaat Masala
- 3 tablespoon Cilantro finely chopped
- 1 Green chilies finely chopped, optional
- 4 teaspoon Green chutney
- Butter as needed to spread on the bread slices
Boil the potatoes until they are fork tender. Let it cool down and then peel the potatoes and mash it.
Add the spices; red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala and then salt, green chilies and cilantro and mix well.
This will be our stuffing for the sandwich.
Take 2 bread slices and on one slice, apply a thin layer of butter. Sprinkle some chaat masala over the butter (optional).
Spread green chutney on the other slice.
Take a good scoop of the potato masala and spread it evenly on one of the bread slices.
Close both the slices and apply butter on the outside as well.
I used my sandwich maker to cook / grill the sandwich. You can also cook it on the stove top in a grill pan.
Repeat the same with the rest of the bread slices and serve with hot sauce or ketchup.
My boys love it with ketchup.
