This Strawberry Cream Cheese Pastry is an excellent recipe to enjoy as a breakfast or as a snack. I love making these pastries with the store bought Puff Pastry sheets and they come together very quickly.
The new trend of making these quick videos have been very addicting lately and I have been bookmarking many recipes to try. Strawberry cream cheese pastry is one such recipe that I had bookmarked from one of the Buzz feed videos and I can’t believe how quick and easy it is to make.
Why try this pastry?
Using store-bought puff pastry sheets saves time and you can use any berries instead of strawberry.
Strawberry is something I always have in hand and it is very hard to store some to make a dessert. The day the strawberry box comes home; we end up just eating the fruit. This week as soon as I bought the strawberries, I saved about 5 of them to make this strawberry cream cheese pastry.
It took me 5 minutes to prepare for the dish and apart from the time it takes to thaw the pastry sheets, all it needs is the baking time.
The video I referred to had 3 other shapes that we could shape this pastry. I have made a humble effort to shoot how I folded the pastry sheet to make the diamond shape.
When I am explaining how to shape the pastry, it might sound very confusing, but making them is very easy. I would highly recommend seeing the video to help shape the pastries.
Do you like the flavor of strawberries and cream cheese together? Then try this strawberry cream cheese muffin as well. And one of my other favorite desserts to use strawberries in is this delicious strawberry shortcake muffin.
Preparation time - 5 minutes plus time to thaw the frozen pastry sheets
Cooking time - 15 to 20 minutes
Difficulty level - easy

- Puff pastry sheet – 1 (thawed)
- Strawberry – 5 (sliced in half lengthwise)

Step-by-step process
- Thaw the pastry sheet as per the instructions on the box. Make sure that the sheet is just thawed enough to work and is not very soggy.

Expert tips
- Thaw the puff pastry sheet just soft enough to work. Do not make it too soggy as it will be hard to shape them.
- Use any berries or a mix of berries instead of strawberries for a different flavor.
- Fresh strawberries work the best to make this cream cheese pastry.
Frequently asked questions
I use a frozen puff pastry sheet to make the strawberry pastry. We can use homemade pastry sheets or also use crescent roll dough to make these.
Store the pastries in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days and after that freeze them to extend the shelf life.
Yes, we can store the cream cheese pastry before baking or after baking. Before baking, place them on a tray and let it freeze. Then place them in a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4 to 6 weeks. Just take them out when ready to bake. If freezing them after baking, place them in a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4 to 6 weeks. Reheat in the oven or in the air fryer.
